 ReadMe for K/oS ModInfo 0.3
-===========================-

Short Description for ModInfo is supplied as FILE_ID.DIZ

Install (DOS):
--------------

Just copy the ModInfo.EXE to any directory. For best use you should use a directory, that is
included in "PATH" (command in AUTOEXEC.BAT).

Install (Win95)
---------------

Extract all files from the archive to a directory, click with your RIGHT mousebutton (Explorer)
the ModInfo.INF and select "Install".

After installation, the extracted files are no longer needed.

You may use ModInfo by selecting a file or a directory, click with your right mousebutton and
select "ModInfo".

To remove, go to Control Panel|Software|K/oS ModInfo 1.0 and click "Remove".

Use of ModInfo
--------------

In every window you may:
- press ESC to exit window/program
- use arrow-keys, Pos1, Home or PgUP/PgDN to scroll

when run without command-line

First you'll see the browser of ModInfo which displays the current directory. To change the
drive, press the key of the drive ("C" changes to drive C, "D" changes to drive D...). If you
want 50 lines instead of 25 lines (default) press "F2".

To change to a different directory, select the directory and hit "Return". As soon as ModInfo
has found modules, they're displayed. Select a module and hit "Return" to view it.

If you are viewing a module:
If ModInfo is displaying "songmessage available - press M", then hit "M" to view the
songmessage. "ESC" will return you to the browser.

when run with a directory as command-line (e.g. ModInfo C:\MODS)

Same as described above, just the directory will be changed to the given argument (in this
example to C:\MODS).

when run with a module as command-line (e.g. ModInfo C:\MODS\ELYSIUM.MOD)

Same as selecting a module using the browser with one exception: "ESC" will exit ModInfo instead
of returning you to the browser.

Description of browser window
-----------------------------

Example:

FILENAME SIZE SONGNAME CHN PAT LEN INS SPD BPM
