Email: rich@bitwise-systems.com Block Invasion is a simple version of Space Invaders in 1K designed to run on the Amstrad CPC 464/664/6128/464+ or 6128+. Should run on any CPC emulator, but the preferred Windows emulator is WinAPE (http://winape.emuunlim.com). To start the game, insert the disc image in Drive A:, then type: run "disc" The keys are: Z - Left X - Right RETURN - Fire ISLAND - 1k game ================ (c)2002 by Witek Burkiewicz This game was created for CPC 6128/464+/6128+ or any CPC emulator (prefered CPE) and looks best on green display. The Game -------- Lead the helicopter and transport cargo over isles. Rules ----- You don't know exactly where is place to go, the only hint is when you are getting closer, border is flashing. When you are near destination you land automatically. Controls -------- Cursor keys and space. Witek Burkiewicz witekb@kki.net.pl Kiloroid ======== (c) 2002 Richard Wilson. Email: rich@bitwise-systems.com Kiloroid is a 1K version of Asteroids for the Amstracd CPC 464/664/6128/464+ or 6128+. Should run on any CPC emulator, but the preferred Windows emulator is WinAPE (http://winape.emuunlim.com). Shoot the Asteroids and they split into two smaller halves. If you clear all the asteroids you move onto the next level where the asteroids are moving faster. Unfortunately duw to the 1K memory limitation, there's no score, and you only get one life, so if you get hit by an asteroid, it's back to the start of level 1. I'm planning a full version in about 1.5K with score, lives, level display and increasing numbers of asteroids with some more efficient screen address calculation routines (which is what slows the game down if you fire continuosly with lots of asteroids around). To start the game, insert the disc image in Drive A:, then type: run "disc" The keys are: Z - Rotate Left X - Rotate Right RETURN - Fire SHIFT - Thrust Amstrad CPC The games are stored in DSK disk images. Mount the disk image in the emulator, then type cat to list its contents. There should be a single 1K game file. Type run"gamename" to start the game. Windows The recommended emulator is CaPriCe32, http://www.classicgaming.com/caprice/ Unpack it to a directory and start caprice32.exe. Select Disk -> A Insert Disk... in the menu. Doubleclick on a game, then type cat and run as above to start the game. Unix Try xcpc, http://xcpc.emuunlim.com/ MacOS The recommended emulator is Arnold, http://emulation.net/cpc/ Unpack it to a directory and start Arnold. Select File -> Open... in the menu. Doubleclick on a game, then type can and run as above to start the game. Amiga Try emucpc, http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/~aminet/misc/emu/emucpc07.lha Mermaid reports that it has trouble loading the minigame disk images. dsk2cpc might help, http://ftp.uni-paderborn.de/aminet/aminet/misc/emu/dsk2cpc10.lha Check the forum for updates.
