' -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= [VERSION] MONO.SCR v1.00 [INTRODUCTION] This is a screensaver for Windows 95/98. It's a recreation of the first (and only) mono intro, which came out on the Amiga in April '96. [CONTENTS] The archive should contain these files: MONO.SCR README.TXT (this file) M0N0\DESOTO.211 M0N0\DHARMA-TSHIRT.211 M0N0\FNDR.211 M0N0\RAMONE.211 M0N0\RELIEF-BLOK.211 M0N0\RELIEF-EYE.211 M0N0\RELIEF.211 M0N0\SUBI.211 M0N0\SUMALETH.211 [INSTALLATION] Unpack the archive to your WINDOWS directory (whatever its name is) RESTORING PATHNAMES. Next, bring up the Display Properties/Screen Saver box (do I really need to explain this?) (yes, you do) (oh all RIGHT!) and select "mono" from the list of screensavers. The screensaver also requires that DirectX 6 is installed. Well, I USED version 6, but it's probably work with any version newer than 3... [INSTRUCTIONS] Clicking on the Settings button in the Display Propeties/Screen Saver box will bring up the Configuration dialog. Graphics Path Here you can enter the path of the graphics (the .211 files). It defaults to [WINDIR]\m0n0, which is where they'll be if you followed the installation instructions. Show Second Word Toggles the showing of a second word (it'll make sense when you've seen the screensaver in action) and you can also set the frequency of its appearances. If you don't like a particular logo then just remove its .211 file from the graphics directory. Likewise, you will be able to add more logos by placing them in that directory. I MAY get around to releasing the BMPTO211 converter, I may not... ;) [KNOWN PROBLEMS/BUGS] No ACTUAL bugs, but the preview screen will have the wrong palette in 8-bit. Bugs/comments to mono@scene.org , please :) [CREDITS] Coded by Subi Graphics by Desoto, Dharma, fndr, Ramone, Relief, Subi and Sumaleth (cheers guys). [CONTACT] We can all be contacted through mono@scene.org (BTW, apologies to anyone who tried to EMail me at my personal address since the end of 10/98, but my account died. This is being fixed :( ). Or you can visit our webpage at www.scene.org/mono [LEGAL] All rights reserved. You may distribute this archive freely as long as no fee is charged and it is not altered in ANY way, this includes removal and addition of data. All code and graphics are copyright the original artists, reproduction in ANY form is forbidden without the EXPRESS permission of the original artist, although why anybody ELSE would want a m0n0 logo I have no idea... ;) [THANKS FOR DOWNLOADING - Subi.m0n0211 05/11/98] Giving them drugs, taking their lives away... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
