"Don't Fuck With the Micrometeoroid"

A raytraced picture for mekka/symposium 2002 freestyle graphics compo


Tools used:

  * Povray 3.5 beta release 13 (for rendering)
  * Paint Shop Pro 5.0 (for some textures & signing)
  * Liquid Spray include file (for the blood particles)
  * Poser 4 (for the astronaut figure)


Some statistics:

  The final version of this picture took 2 days, 4 hours, 50 minutes and 22 seconds
  to render on a 200MHz mmx pentium with 128MB of memory.

  The pic is highly unfinished but i ran out of time (again).

  For those who absolutely must know: the planets are Pluto (farther) and 
  Charon (nearer). I got the inspiration for the spaceship design from some 
  old conceptual art made for NASA in the 70's. The bloody astronaut is 
  there to gather atleast 3 more votes (bringing the total to 4) and make 
  my computer scream in agony.

                     The background is too light and there isn't enough blood:)

  workstage_00.jpg - very early version of the pic. bad colors and all.
