[ Explanation ] Apart from what you see and hear, this intro actually has a special effect that can only be observed on CRT displays: "The Magic Pulse" There's a slight screen geometry change when the heart is at its peak brightness. The effect is called blooming, and it is caused by the high beam current affecting the CRT's high voltage and magnetic deflection. The electron gun has to push much more current than usual. With more beam current, there's a slight voltage drop, electrons travel slower, and the deflection coils bend them more, causing the image to get larger or warped. So... the heart pulsates. This is the essence of the demo. If you didn't see it on real hardware attached to a real cathode-ray tube display, you've missed half of the demo. On the upside, since the picture is mostly static, you can try to see through it much like with a stereogram, a.k.a. Magic Eye, which works best on progressive displays.
